BREAKING: Trump Orders DoJ to Investigate Clinton's Past Association With Jeffrey Epstein
The political football that the Epstein Scandal has become has now been kicked at the Democratic Party, with President Donald Trump declaring the whole saga a hoax, and taking aim at Bill Clinton.
President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he intends to direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein’s connections with a number of prominent individuals — including several people he views as political rivals. His comments came days after newly surfaced emails from the late financier referenced Trump, prompting renewed political debate.
The emails appear to have been intentionally released without context by the Democrats who pushed for them to be unsealed. For example, one of the emails now heavily focused on by anti-Trump activists and left-wing media outlets shows Epstein claiming that Trump came to his home in West Palm Beach whilst Virginia Giuffre was allegedly there. But Virginia’s name was intentionally redacted, hiding from the public the fact that she had already, on multiple occasions, including in a 2016 deposition whilst under oath, clearly stated that she had never witnessed Trump engaging in anything illegal or improper.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump accused Democrats of exploiting what he called an “Epstein hoax” to distract from what he described as their “failed” handling of the government shutdown and other issues. He said he would ask the Justice Department and the FBI to review Epstein’s interactions with figures such as former President Bill Clinton, economist Larry Summers, entrepreneur Reid Hoffman and executives linked to JPMorgan Chase, among others. The purpose, he said, would be to “determine what was going on” between Epstein and those individuals.
Trump has spent recent months attempting to deflect questions about his own association with Epstein (which reportedly ended before Epstein was convicted), while urging Republicans in the House to block a procedural move that would force a vote on releasing Justice Department documents related to Epstein. House Speaker Mike Johnson has indicated that a vote on the matter is expected next week.
In his post on Friday, Trump likened the controversy to previous investigations he has criticised, calling it “another Russia, Russia, Russia scam” and again directing blame toward Democrats.
Responding, Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on Twitter this evening:
“Thank you, Mr. President. SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton is one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country, and I’ve asked him to take the lead. As with all matters, the Department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”
Meanwhile, due to media-produced disinformation and the ongoing political weaponisation of the scandal, the full shocking truth about the Epstein affair is yet to be revealed - something which I’ll be endeavouring to rectify in my upcoming book, NAKED LIES: The Epstein Scandal That Rocked The Royals.
