Let’s start by listening to Jeffrey himself, and then I’ll reveal, for the first time, what Jeffrey was trying to tell us. The following audio clip comes from a deposition conducted with him in 2016.
Jeffrey repeated this answer over and over throughout the deposition, refusing, on the instructions of his lawyers, to answer questions, but evidently steadfast in his desire to ensure that this side of the story was recorded.
He knew that the transcript would be made public. He knew that the video recordings would, after being unsealed, appear in the media.
He wanted us to hear his words, specifically his allegations against lawyers he now found himself sitting opposite from.
But why?
To answer that question, let’s take a deep dive into the early, murky days where attorneys and journalists hunted down scandals to turn into cash cows.
